Big Picture Art Studio is my creative space. I believe simplicity can be complex and complexity can be noisy. I try to reduce the noise.

In this regard, my paintings are highly realistic and representational. I apply classical glazing methods to heighten translucence, mood and aesthetic. Compositional elements are rendered with clarity of thought and purposefulness to present underlying ideas to evoke an “aha or haha.”

I categorize my art as People, Pets and Places. Of course, it’s never that simple. There is always overlap and one piece that just doesn’t fit in any box. It’s like Poutine – eclectic and delicious!
